| Troubleshooting a Recordable Card |
|
If you're having trouble with your recordable card, please try the tips below.
My message won't record
- You might not have been pressing both buttons. Make sure to press firmly and directly on both the "play" and "record" buttons at the same time.
- You might not have pressed the buttons long enough. Be sure to press and hold both the "play" and "record" buttons the entire time you are recording your message.
NOTE: Messages can only be 10 seconds long. If your message is longer than 10 seconds, it will be cut off.
I can't play back my message
- The message might have been deleted. The recorded message is deleted when both the "play" and "record" buttons are pressed at the same time. Try re-recording your message and pressing only the "play" button to listen to it.
TIP: Messages can be re-recorded at anytime - you can even record one over the phone!
- The buttons might not have been pressed firmly enough to record a message. The "play" and "record" buttons need to be pressed firmly. Be sure to press directly while you're recording your message.
- The battery might be dead. It's possible that if you've played or recorded a message more than 400 times, the battery will no longer function.
My message doesn't sound right
- If your message sounds distorted and "fuzzy," you may have been speaking too loudly or too closely to the card. Try recording again while speaking more softly and holding the card a bit farther away from you.
- There might be too much background noise to make a good-quality recording. Try reducing the amount of noise in the background and recording your message again.
